Terms of Service

1. The service

ResumeTester reads your resume, tests it, suggests fixes, and builds a PDF. It also helps with the job search: it finds jobs, tracks your applications, writes cover letters, lets you practice interviews, and can fill in and send application forms that you approve. You need an account to use it. You must be at least 16 years old.

2. Your account

• Keep your login details safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• Give correct details when you sign up.
• Tell us if you think someone else uses your account.

3. Your content

Your resume, your answers, your cover letters, and the job descriptions you add stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to run the service for you.

Upload only content you have the right to use. Do not upload another person's resume without their permission.

4. AI results

• Scores, findings, rewrites, cover letters, interview feedback, and prepared application answers are made by AI. They can be wrong or incomplete.
• Check every change, letter, and answer before you use it. You are responsible for what your resume and your applications say.
• We do not promise interviews, job offers, or any other result.

5. Job listings

• Job listings come from other websites. They can be out of date, wrong, or already closed. We do not check them.
• We are not the employer and not a recruiter. We are not part of any contract between you and an employer.
• The Apply button opens the employer's page. What happens there is between you and the employer.

6. Auto Apply

• Auto Apply reads an application form, prepares answers from your resume and your saved answers, and shows them to you. It sends an application only after you approve that application.
• By approving, you ask us to fill in and send the form for you, with your resume and the answers you saw. You are responsible for these answers being true and complete.
• An application that was sent cannot be taken back by us.
• Sending can fail, for example when the form changes or asks for a check that software cannot pass. The page tells you when an application was not sent. We do not promise that an application arrives or is read.
• Auto Apply works only with application forms that need no account. The employer's own terms and privacy policy apply to your application.
• Do not use Auto Apply to send false information or applications you do not mean.

7. Plans and payment

• The free plan includes 3 tests, and the top 3 findings of each report. It has no job search.
• Pro adds the full report, one-click fixes, job match, and job search. Premium adds more job results, cover letters, interview practice, and Auto Apply. Paid features have fair daily limits.
• Pro and Premium are subscriptions, billed monthly in advance. They renew until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time on the Plan and Billing page. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
• Payments are not refunded, unless the law requires it.
• We may change prices. A new price applies from your next billing period, and we tell you before it does.

8. Fair use

Do not:

• Break the law with the service or upload harmful files.
• Try to get into other accounts or disturb the service.
• Use robots or scripts to run tests, searches, or applications in bulk.
• Resell the service without our written permission.

9. Ending your account

You can ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

10. Changes to the service

We may change, add, or remove features. We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the new terms.

11. Warranty and liability

The service is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as a lost job opportunity. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by Hungarian law. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protections of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim before the courts that have jurisdiction there.
